NOTE: The following matches are best shot using a butts range with a target gallery.
Rifle: Per National Rule Book - Class F1/G,
- Class F2/G,
- Class J/T in Military/Service calibre.
(and/or other classes per notice)
Target: - SSAA 4x4 ˝ size 2x2 Type C is the recommended target,
or - SSAA 4x4 Type C,
or - as per notice.
Distances: 300m (or other selected distances).
Position: Prone or as per notice.
Allowed Equipment: Bipods allowed, sandbags or other – in spirit of discipline.
(May be shot unsupported per notice).
Starting: Shooters should be given a “fires view” of the sequence before continuing.
Shooters to follow range commands: Load, Action, Instant, Watch and shoot, etc.
Scoring: As per target values – Score/count “V” ring hits to break tied scores (eg 5.1).
Ammunition: 23 rounds (or as advised) – allows for 3 sighters if using butts.
Procedure: Sighters - 3 sighters individually marked - NOT to count. No further sighters.
Phase 1 - Single Tap. 10 rounds. 10x 3 second exposures
Phase 2 - Double Tap. 10 rounds. 5x 6 second exposures
Note: Both phases should follow on with no more than a 30sec pause.
Ammunition: 43 rounds (or as advised) – allows for 3 sighters if using butts.
Procedure: Sighters - 3 sighters individually marked - NOT to count. No further sighters.
Phase 1 - Application - Fire 10 rounds, each shot individually marked,
Phase 2 - Snap Single - Fire 10 rounds during 10x 3 second exposures, single tap,
Phase 3 - Snap Double - Fire 10 rounds in 5x 6second exposures, double tap,
Phase 4 - Snap Duel - Fire 10 rounds, double tap – 2x targets, 1 round per target.
Note: Phase 4 has both targets appear together. Typically requires 2 people in the butts.
