CARBINE RIFLE MATCH

This rapid fire match is the preferred option as a “Carbine Match” however hosts my change format to accommodate range facility; time, environment etc etc, or adopt another match. 

Rules:  These matches are shot in accordance with the rules listed in the National rule book and NSW by-laws. 

Rifle:  Class A   - Any Carbine rifle (bolt, lever etc) issued to military/service forces,

                        - Rifle is approved as carbine as per SSAA rifle lists,

                        - Built up or faithfully reproduced rifles and parts acceptable within spirit.

                        - In Military/Service calibre.

Note:  Match may be followed for any rifle type or class. 

Distance:          100m (or other selected distances). 

Ammunition:     15 rounds (or as advised). 

Target:              SSAA Military 4x4 Type C or other as per notice. 

Positions:          Standing, Sitting/Kneeling & Prone. 

Timing; 90seconds. 

Procedure:        - Start from Standing with rifle UNLOADED on the ground, 

On the fire command: 

- From STANDING position, load and fire 5 rounds, 

then,     - adoot SITTING position, load and fire 5 rounds, 

then,     - Adopt PRONE position, load and fire 5 rounds. 

Note:  Shooter must change position with open bolt. 

Starting:            Shooters then follow command…. “Load & Fire” when time starts. 

Scoring:            As per target values – V, 5, 4, 3, 2 ,1. 

                        Score/count “V” ring hits to break tied scores as 5.1.
