SUPPLEMENTARY EVENT

MATCH 4 - RAPID FIRE B

 

Range:                       100m (or other selected range)

 

 

Ammunition: 20 Rounds.

 

 

Target:                       1 x 60cm diameter (see Annex 2B - Target 2),

or 120cm x  120cm  - see Annex 2B - Target 1

 

Position:                Prone unsupported.

Procedure:                Competitors under direction of the Competition Officer (RO), take the                         rifle to the ‘Action’ state, lay it down, then stand up behind the rifle.

                  

                   Note: Muzzle to be pointed down range .

 

Phase 1: On command or appearance of the targets, competitors adopt the firing position and engage the target with 5 rounds. Reload once more with 5 rounds and re-engage the target. Total to be fired is 10 rounds. The Competition Officer clears each rifle and referees record any unfired rounds or late shots.

 

                             Phase 2: Repeat the first phase.

 

Scoring:                On 60cm diameter targets 5 or 3 points per hit using scoring zones.

                   Highest Possible Score = 100.20

 

                             On 120cm x 120cm targets, 5, 4, 3, 2 or 1 points per hit.

                   Highest Possible Score = 100.20

 

Notes:            1.       The next detail to act as referees and count shots fired.

 

                   2.       Shots fired after ‘Cease Fire’ incur a 10 point penalty per shot.

                  

                   3.       Unfired rounds incur a 5 point penalty per round.
