SSAA NSW MILITARY/SERVICE RIFLE

"2003 Grand Prix"

November 2002

Att: All range discipline captains and fellow shooters

From the NSW State Discipline Chairman and Alternate

Start your engines! The 2003 Grand Prix starts on the 1st of January 2003 and will run until 31st August. Each and every SSAA member can, and is encouraged to, compete. Get in touch with your local range discipline captain.

The winners, runners up, etc of the Grand Prix will be calculated on:

  • Each shooters best 3 scores (SSAA 3P Core and SSAA Rapid Fire B aggregate) from ANY of the 2003 sanctioned events (as listed) using standard / as issued Rifles. If you attend 5 shoots, you drop your 2 worst scores etc (more shoots, more chanced)
  • Your result submitted to the NSW postal shoot that cannot be a duplicate of your best 3 scores shot at sanctioned matches (it must be a 4th score)
  • Your 3 best sanctioned match scores are added with the NSW postal score to form a grand aggregate. This aggregate is then used to sort your score in order against other shooters submitted scores.

This Grand Prix is free to competitors. It is funded out of the discipline budget and contributions from participating ranges/clubs. Top Guns plus winners and runners up in each grade receive trophies and their name is added to a new Grand Prix perpetual shield. This Grand Prix is a major key to the NSW state teams selection criteria.
