TAMWORTH / PEEL VALLEY RIFLE CLUB

 (SSAA AFFILIATED)

T&PV Rifle Club is located approx 20min south east of the Tamworth centre.  It is a range on private property in the glorious mountains and valleys just over the western side of the Great Divide. 

The range itself has 8 target frames in a target gallery with stop butts.  Shooting mounds are available at every 100metres back to 600m.  There is also 8 shooting benches undercover that offers benchrest shooting from 0 – 500m (fixed firing line).

Regular matches are:

- Service rifle (As-Issued, Match-Iron and Match-Optic) out to 500m,

- Fullbore and other target rifle applications out to 600m,

            - Fly – Rimfire 200m and centre fire 500m

            - Silhouette - Rimfire

            - Factory and commercial rifle matches

A club house is on the range with running tank water and toilet facilities.  Camping is comfortable on large grassed area’s.  The range does not have hot water on tap or showers.  Power is via generator that is readily available in the clubhouse only.

TAMWORTH PISTOL CLUB

 (SSAA BRANCH)

Tamworth Pistol Club is located approx 10min north east of the Tamworth centre.  It is a range on club owned land in the glorious mountains of the Great Divide. 

The range itself has 4 ranges, with 3 pistol ranges and 1 centrefire/rimfire rifle range that will soon cater out to 200 metres. This rifle range also has 10-12 benches undercover that will soon offer 200m rimfire flyshooting, along with the already popular BR30 matches and centrefire siting/zeroing in.  Shooting positions on the three pistol ranges are available at 7, 15, 25, 50 and back to 100metres.

Regular pistol matches are:

- Military Service matches,

- Falling plate matches,

- Silhouette - Centrefire & Rimfire

Regular rifle matches are:

            - BR30 rimfire matches

            - Fly – Rimfire 200m (TBA)

A club house is on the range with running tank water and toilet facilities.  Camping is comfortable by the pot belly fire in the club house or a number of spots are available around the range site.  The range does have hot water on tap and showers.  Power is available to most areas of the range.
