Armidale branch members shoot MSR events at the Woodlawn Target Shooting Complex on the first Sunday of each month.
Other disciplines shot at Woodlawn include Benchrest, Lever Action and Western Action.
Set in a beautiful grazing property west of
Uralla, SSAA Armidale's Woodlawn range is designed to cater for a variety of shooting disciplines, including benchrest, metallic silhouette, shotgun events, and Military Service Rifle.Military Service Rifle is catered for by the provision of a separate course with shooting mounds set at 100, 200, and 300 metres from the targets. The mounds are designed to allow for up to 15 shooters in each detail.
MAP - Note, turn west at the service state with the sign to Kingstown. Travel for approx 10minutes and look for either a sign, OR high voltage cables suspended above the ground with "red ball" makers along the lengths of the lines.
The range is then approx 6km down the Athol Rd (an unsealed road) - do not turn off the main road as there are various chutes left and right. You will pass a large timber wool/shearing shed on your right. Proceed a further 500m then look left for the range.
