The day at Kurrajong Pistol Club started off damp, by lunch it was wet and by the end of the day we had all grown web feet.
There was only a small turn out for the first day of competition but all had fun, far too much fun to be shooting too seriously, so we progressed to the mud wrestling championships and gumboot throwing, of course the 100 yard back stroke to the car park and back drew admiring ooh's and aahs from the onlookers......general consensus is required for the new CSD Calendar!

It might have rained but the well designed facilities at Kurrajong Pistol Club allowed the event to go ahead with roof covered targets and under cover access to all ranges.
Day 1 started with the short barrel match, the match was new to some of our shooters and challenging.

| Towards the end of the day we wound down and tried our hand at some of the other facilities available at Kurrajong Pistol Club, Richard Brown practicing with his Styer air rifle on the air rifle range, a very impressive firearm. |

The club house provided for a comfortable relaxing afternoon, remaining shooters settled down for a nice steak and sausage BBQ and a few drinks.

Every now and then a rare snap is taken of a shooter in the middle of their string performing a generous charitable act, here we have Andrew Prowse from Mudgee making a sizeable donation to one of the scorers, its kindness like this that is rarely seen and often goes unrewarded in our sport.
