Rnd 9 of 2004 NSW PISTOL & RIFLE Grand Prix Series.

(Range approx 5kms south of Batemans Bay along Princess Hwy – entrance on right under power lines).

 

Note:  These GP events are the front to the established annual Batemans Bay 303 Commemorative Shoot that takes place on Sunday.  Shooters are welcome, and encouraged to stay for this Sunday event.

 

Equipment for the weekend:

-         Friday Pistol Class 1 Military, Class 2 Service, Class 3 Modified AND/OR Class 4 Rimfire.

-         Saturday Rifle is standard/as-issued Class ABC AND/OR modified Class H rifle.  Others compete for fun.

-         Shooting mat, Spotting scope or binoculars for sighting and practice.

 

Friday 23rd  - NSW Pistol Grand Prix     Require 75rnds plus practice.

            - 10am Pistol. Practice / warm up at various ranges.

- 12pm Pistol Grand Prix Rnd 8.  Classes 1 & 2 only

                        - Classes 3 & 4 compete after all Class 1 & 2 pistols are complete.

 

Matches: 1) SSAA CoF10 50m Deliberate, 2) SSAA CoF7 Rapid Fire, 3) SSAA CoF2 3 Position, 4) SSAA CoF 1 3Range Core.   Matches 3 & 4 for Class 1&2 are State sanctioned for NSW Pistol Grand Prix.

 

Competitors may cross enter up to 2 classes.  Additional classes will cost $3 per class to cover costs.

 

Pistol Trophies: - Agg Winner, R/Up & 3rd by grade for Class 1/2 (combined).

                                    - Agg Winner and R/Up for Class 3 & 4 Outright (separate).

 

Time permitting, NSW Martini Cadet NSW 3 Range match.  Trophies Open - 1st – 3rd.

Note:  Range open for Rifle practice from 10am and will stop during pistol match cease fire(s).

 

Saturday 24th  - NSW Rifle Grand Prix  Requires 60rnds for the day.

8am                  Sign on.                        8.30am   Briefing for all competitors.

Match 1:           Fowling shot into bank, then 300m Deliberate (10rnds).

Match 2:           3 Position Core (30rnds).  Fixed firing line requiring shooters to move targets foward.

Match 3:           Rapid Fire B (20rnds).

Novelty:           500m Silhouette Knock-over.  Ram silhouettes standing at 500m.  (Good 500m prac for Nats).

Trophies:          - GP Match 2&3 Agg winner, R/Up & 3rd by grade.

                        - Match 1, 2 & 3 Grand Agg 1st – 3rd Top Guns for Class A/B/C, and Top Guns Class H.

 

Sunday 25th - 303 Commemorative Shoot – Local Event. Requires 50rnds for the day.

Starts at 9am with a full briefing and match details.

Note:  This is NOT a NSW sanctioned event, but shooters are asked to please support this local event as funds are donated to the Soldiers Club for supporting the local area.  It is a great cause and they need our help.

This local event shot over 50 100 200 300m.  Runs as Individual and Teams.

 

Costs are: Friday $10, Saturday $15 (incl free BBQ sausage sizzle lunch Sat), Sunday $15.

 

Canteen snacks and drinks available all weekend.  Call for accommodation details.  There are many motels/hotels in Batemans Bay 8minutes from the range.  Bring the whole family.
