Opening Address from State Discipline Chairman – Mr Jamie Harris;
My first year as MS Discipline Chairman has been a good year, Numbers in this discipline, in particular the first round were higher i.e. 48 competitors at Southern Highlands and 45 at Mudgee. In fact there have been no less than 30 competitors in any 2006 GP Round, this is despite rising fuel costs, interest rates etc that affect us all. A huge thank you to all of the clubs who have hosted a GP round, Casino for hosting the State Championships, sponsors of events held, members for their assistance throughout the year in every way imaginable and thank you to all members at this meeting. I am standing down from this position this year due to work commitments and the fact that I am to be married in the new year.
The sponsors and volunteers who give of their time, expertise, resources and no doubt their hard earned dollars, all deserve a pat on the back as well as those members who assist wherever possible. All these things have added up to having a series of Grand Prix rounds that have all shown improved attendance, timely and efficiently managed thus enjoyable for all concerned, competitors and spectators alike.
We have also generated funds being $608.00. This being a part of our mission which was to have transparent bookkeeping whereby any member who wishes, may view the ‘books’.
Close of Address by MSD Chairman.
At this time a copy of the MSD Annual General Meeting Minutes for 2005 are being circulated for your perusal.
Mr Robert Irving moved a motion that the previous AGM minutes be accepted.
