Business Arising:

Discussion was held in reference to the discipline rules as published in the rulebook to be clarified. System to be realistic: current format at least 4 years old.

John Pond suggest that amendments if any be made to the discipline be submitted formally through SSAA State Office channels.

David Waters answered questions from ex members of NSWRA with regards to rule differences between SSAA and NSWRA for the classification of standard and as-issued rifles.  David requested that members not expect the 2 associations to be the same, and the fact that they are indeed different is a healthy thing.

John Pond spoke of building the sport.

Request to apply for funding to be made available for the State Championship host club to offset financial burden on host club.

Motion to request and gain funding from State office
Moved : Rob Spittles
Seconded : Albey Ralph

Clarification that Accurised Modified & Standard Issue rifle matches to be shot side by side and NOT together.

The response from the group was that the majority were opposed as SSAA it is not in the spirit of the discipline or the competition.

Suspicion that in 2001, NSW will be approached to host National Championships.  If this is the case, Mudgee will volunteer and therefore would prefer to pass on hosting the state and ask that another branch/club host the State.

Meeting Closed as sun set – 5.15pm
